Amidst the success, I felt unfulfilled. When I needed it most, I had a spiritual awakening, and everything changed. The integration of my spiritual values into every facet of my life has given me a true sense of purpose and fulfillment as I prioritize enriching the lives of others and having a lasting impact on the world.
I'd achieved so much and yet, despite my success in real estate, I still wasn’t finding the satisfaction and fulfillment I longed for. It was like there was something missing in my life that I had yet to find.
From a young age, I was driven and ambitious. I embarked on my first job at the tender age of 14. My parents, immigrants from Mexico, instilled in me a strong work ethic and a desire to make the most of the opportunities that came my way. Money wasn't my sole motivation, but I thought it would give me a sense of importance and belonging.
I obtained my real estate license at 23. In my first year as a real estate agent, I achieved six- figure earnings, and my peers were impressed but my success didn't come easy, I had to overcome racism, sexism, and even agism to continue on the path of success. I proved to those who did not believe in me, and more importantly, myself, that I was capable of so much more.
From there, my career continued to evolve as I achieved each new goal. While I was passionate about my career, something was still missing. As I entered my early thirties, I began to question the true meaning of success and fulfillment. Money and material achievements no longer provided the contentment I longed for. In this period of introspection, I experienced a profound spiritual awakening in and through Christ.
This awakening opened my heart and mind to a deeper understanding of life's purpose and my place in the world. Finally, I found what was missing. I discovered a more profound way to live life and embraced a set of values that resonated with my soul. It was a time of transformation as my perspective shifted from a self-focused ambition to a more profound desire to serve and uplift others.
As a wife and mother, my newfound journey enriched my relationships with my family. I learned to cherish each moment and embrace even the challenges that I encountered. My commitment to empathy and compassion deepened, and I became more attuned to the emotional needs of those in my life.
In my real estate career, this spiritual awakening transformed the way I approached my work. I realized that being a REALTOR® is not just about transactions and financial gains; it is about seeking the highest good for my clients. I understood that each client had unique dreams and aspirations, and my role was to help them find a place that would become their haven, their sanctuary.
My focus shifted from mere sales to building meaningful connections with my clients. It was no longer about closing deals but about creating lasting relationships built on trust and genuine concern. With my newfound purpose in life, I launched HeReigns Real Estate to embody the values I uphold in my work. Real estate has become a platform for me to extend kindness, compassion, wisdom, and hope to those I serve, enabling me to make a lasting impact on their lives.
In May 2023, I received my Master's in Christian Studies – this achievement was a full-circle moment for me, reminding me how far I have come on this journey. I feel truly blessed to have had the support of my wonderful husband, Cesar, and my children, Carlos and Matteo, through it all. I know whatever life brings us, they will always remain my rock. In my free time, I love to read, journal, and participate in the transformation of the lives of those around me willing to embark on a similar spiritual journey.
